You are correct. Acid should not be used on glass, although I’ve used it before with no issues (never sprayed directly though)Lets hope a lot of other people see this thread moving into the future and because of it - don't do the acid technique on glass. I've never been a fan of this approach when I know how to do both topical and sub-surface glass polishing.
Yes, I think the NSP GL will do the trick. The staining or etching you see is going to be mostly topical, but even if it is penetrated INTO the glass, the Dr. Beasley's NSP GL Glass Polish works both for topical glass polishing and sub-surface glass polishing.
Most important - at this point, you don't have anything to lose.
Here's the link to the products you'll need. You will also need some type of polisher. A rotary works best but any orbital that can maintain pad rotation will work.
