Cant wait to try out dr beasleys this saturday. Am i correct in reading that z1 the only available product for purchase that one can get thats body shop safe?
Congradulations mike! Hope it all works out for ya. Most of my skills that i have now are because of you. Never took a class in person. Just all your articles/videos you done over the years. Articles from years back are still helping folks today. So thankyou.
Have never tried Dr beasleys...
mike what are your thoughts on using a fine clay to revive a year old very negliected ceramic coating?
I just did a decontaination wash to my friends truck that i coated 11 months ago. He hand washed it once since then and it only sees touchless car washes. I know i know....i tried to tell him...
Im not mike, but i will say i personally use bead it up on my wheels. My final wheel wipe off to remove any possibly present water spots is with bead it up.
Weither i wash it again in a week or not drive it and wash it for a month, the visable signs that its still present on the surface is...
Nice results, which megs kit would you recommend? Its seems megs makes 3 kits...g2960,g2970,g2980.
I was also going to look for some ppf that i could apply over top the lens as all our vehicles sit outside, and no aftermarket headlights ive tried fit as well as factory.
I dont use graphine spray, i use si02 silica spray. I really like the cobra edgeless polishing cloths. Also good for coating removal, compound/polish removal.
Nice that they sell different colors...to designate colors for different things
Imo you might as well use motor oil to wipe down the paint lol. I qould never use something with lubricants that leave propertys behind on the surface. That defeats the entire purpose of prepping the surface for a coating. The coating will not have proper adhesion
If you in a pinch...go to...
I agree with the guz and mikes recommendations. I personally have a gallon of megs m122 surface prep. And i like it, no issues or streaking.
Make sure you post some b4 and after pics.
You machine wash your foam pads?? Lol
Looking to try 3d one. Or shall i just stick with menzerna 400/3500?
I have a 2014 white ram 1500 to do in the near future. Always regularly washed. Never been buffed. Its needs cleaned up. Owner just wants to pay for a one step, then hit with si02 silica spray sealant for lsp.
Love menzerna...
Looks good! Have you used it b4?curious about the real world durability/longevity of the product. I know many variables can affect this.
What was used to spruce up the plastics?
Awesome right up...im right on par with the times per step, which feels good to know...was always curious.
Although i feel like i should raise my prices b4 long as far as coatings go. I feel i do quality honest work for honest pay. Its all side money. And i always make a rate that im happy...
