I just wanted to thank all your guidance over the years, I started following you when you were at Auto Geek.
I didn't realize how finicky Black paint is!
I have met some really great people while fixing and upgrading my car.I have been Watching Jay Leon's Garage with my Dad who is in his 90,s...
It's from the shop.
I did try to use finishing polish on the area hand applied . I will call the shop tomorrow.
The stain did lift with the polish
I figure it's thier issue!!
I wanted to say I used that plastic bag trick and the area is smooth not rough.
Well if this is the only problem this morning it's not bad it's fixable!!! :-)
Hi Mike got the care back from the shop last night. Looks fantastic, however the shop said to use paint thinner Lacquer. Can't spell it lol. I wiped it down but the area didn't clean up up.
I emailed the shop waiting to here.
Suggestions??? I don't want to polish out until the shop sees...
Thanks the shop is more high end they fix Lamborghini and Ferrari, I requested them not to wash the car. I will wash it when I get it home, Mike advised me of doing this
Hi Mike!
Saw my car at the body shop.
It's covered with a bunch of dust. They did the prep outside rather than inside the shop.
When I get the car back I assume a really good rinse prior to washing.
I will use a fresh mitt for each panel.
Any other suggestions, really trying to avoid scratches...
Well it can't be a bad body shop there were 3 Ferrari's being worked on !
the cars did have plastic covers over them.
I must assume if overspray , clay bar then re wax the car but not the areas painted .
Thx Nick
Hello!
I am looking for a carpet extractor for my cars and also small spots in the house.
Would be nice if the unit has a water heater?
This will be not for commercial use , DYI.
Thanks Nick
Thanks for the help Mike!
The next search is for a carpet extractor, not for commercial use.
Would like to keep the water warm/hot!
I have a BISSELL greenie it's ok but does not have a water heater.
