What do you guys use to clean convertible canvas top?

Would 3D LVP cleaner be safe to use or 3D citrus APC?

I’m going to apply 303 fabric guard to protect it. Thanks.

Daniel

I've used the LVP Cleaner to clean canvas cloth tops, but not the Citrus APC.

Thanks Mike, I know you’re trying to market Dr. Beasley products and I appreciate you answering my question since it’s from another company. Class Act!

When I use up some of my products and will start checking out some of Dr. Beasley products.

Really looking forward to learning and trying the NSP product line and ceramic coatings.

I've use both LVP and Super Citrus APC to clean Sunbrella Boat canvas tops and convertible tops. LVP isn't marketed as a cloth top cleaner to my knowledge, but it did work fine. I've used it when there was minimal soiling.

Super Citrus APC is great, it is my go to APC. Great product that does what its supposed do. Super Citrus does leave a little residue behind in my experience. After cleaning I would take a clean dry towel and try to wipe away as much as I if I wasn't doing a total wet wash procedure. Want to give Fabric guard the best chance to bond to the fibers.

I have since move to using Ragg Topp system for convertible tops the cleaner works very well. Mike has a video on how to use use both the cleaner and the protectant. It is very easy to use and the results are amazing.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I’m doing an 04 thunderbird that has hard top and soft top. This is good know, I probably do a combination of these two products on soft top, there is a heavy soiled spot in middle and rest looks pretty good.

I’ll wash it all down and dry car to make sure no residue is left and dry fabric, then apply fabric guard.

After I use up my fabric guard, I probably give Dr. Beasley clean and protectant a try.

I’m going to try Citrus APC on some gum on floor mat as well and see if it that will help loosen it up. The way it’s embedded in there it’s probably going to tear all the fibers to remove.

We shall see.

Thanks for the replies, it turned out good. White is where he put dawn on it, because it had a grease spot on it.

I used LVP first and had to come back with 3D super citrus to remove some outline of the white spot. Two coats of fabric protectant. Canvas is much darker in person.IMG_1704.jpegIMG_1678.jpeg
Maybe contact 3D and ask them?
I did, no response. They responded same day when I couldn’t order something online and they fixed that in a hurry.

Looks much better!

Capturing what you actually see with a camera phone when detailing canvas tops is tricky. I always feel the same way when I look at my after photos. They never seem to look as good in the picture as they do in person.
