I have watched and read several things with Mike teaching the art of using #7 and the process of detailing a car with single stage paint. I used that knowledge on bringing the carousel red paint (Orange) on my GTO back to life and it sure did make the orange pop again. I did clay bar after I washed the car and used meguiars ultimate polishing not to be to harsh on the original single stage. I followed that with #7 that I let sit overnight and followed that with meguiars #26 yellow wax. The car came out great and the orange really came back to life. I just want to say Thank you Mike for you guidance on preserving these classics.

P.S. I wanted to as if anyone had any other suggestions do a wax to top with other than meguiars #26 that others have had success with. Thanks

Whoa....You did great!

Megs yellow wax is old school and fits well with any classic single stage paint. I always try to keep things in the family--ie: Megs #7 and then Megs Yellow wax.

Hi JGaddy,

Results and the car look phenomenal! I can no longer count how many people have found my articles and videos on restoring antique and original single stage paint - put the product and technique into practice and then shared a story and pictures like yours.

Thank you for your trust. I took the liberty to download your pictures, crop out the fluff and resize to 1000 pixels wide. You can now copy the URL address for each picture and share them anywhere or download by right clicking on them if you like.
