Hello everyone, have been lurking, decided it would be be bad manners to ask questions without introducing myself.

I recently bought a 2021 Toyota Highlander, ruby flare pearl is the official color (it’s red). This is most likely going to be the last car I ever buy, as I’m about to retire. I really want to take care of this car. I knew what I wanted the exterior to look like. I read and read, and researched and researched. I got a good idea what it would take in terms of product, tools, AND time to do the work to achieve the look I wanted. I decided that I would be ……. CRAZY to try to take on a project this size for my very first endeavor.

I did think that if I could find professionals to get the exterior the way I wanted it, I COULD keep it maintained. After all the research I did, I felt like I knew what questions to ask, so I started visiting detail shops.

My paint job went through a complete paint correction process. I had PPF applied to the front bumper, entire hood, entire front fenders, handle cups, mirrors, and headlights. I then had a ceramic coating applied to the entire car.

I m very pleased with the way it turned out. I have a lot of respect for the talent, knowledge and experience it took to get this size car to look the way it does now!

So that’s my story.

My questions will be products I have bought or will be buying to maintain the appearance of the car.

Thanks

:)

Hi John,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. I've been a tick on the busy side.

Please fee free to ask any questions you like and I'll do my best to answer them. It sounds like you have a great SUV and you're on the right track. The MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do now is make sure EVERYTHING that touches the finish is clean, soft and vital - uncontaminated.

:)
