S.I.V. or Special Interest Vehicle - Definition by Mike Phillips

A Special Interest Vehicle doesn't have to be old, or a street rod, or a muscle car or even a classic, antique or exotic. My definition of a Special Interest Vehicle is one that if it were parked in a large parking lot outside of a store and while you were walking into the store you looked once, and then instantly took a moment to take a second look, then whatever car it is you're looking at could probably be defined as an S.I.V.

:)

Agreed. Even a rat rod..... park one next to a red Ferrari and no one will see the Ferrari.

I would consider both SIV type vehicles. If I were parked at our local grocery or hardware store and saw a Ferrari in the parking lot I would veer out of my path-of-travel to swing by and check it out.

I would much prefer the Rat Rod if it were in the parking lot. :D

I wouldn't consider a 2000 Honda 4-door Accord an SIV or any other mundane daily driver similar to this. Nothing personal against daily drivers and this is what I currently drive, it just is what it is.

I have on order a new Bronco Badlands with the Sasquatch Package. I ordered the 4-door model in Cyber Orange Metallic Tri-Coat.

:)

I get many comments from people on how they never see any regular cab pickup trucks these days unless they are bare-bones work trucks.

Some say they didn't think that they made RC's any longer.

I tell them that I had to factory order mine, as no dealer had one (in the configuration I wanted) within 1,000 miles of me.

SIV? Hmmmm..........

I definitely consider your Ram an SIV. I have never seen one like it anywhere else.

Yup... that's it...

You are going to be thoroughly impressed with it, Mike.

They are really awesome in person. And they drive incredibly smooth for what they are. (The one I drove was a 4-door Sasquatch as well). (y)(y)

Mike when did you place your order? Curious if you think you’ll be getting it soon.

I keep seeing people take delivery of their Broncos and it’s making me jealous. May have to just pull the trigger on one
