I currently have the FLEX 3401 with red beast inside and absolutely love it! It truly is a beast! Wondering how long the cordless version batteries last? I'm just getting tired of messing with the extension cords all over. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi Nick,

The battery powered CBEAST when pressing hard for heavy correction will last about 10 to 15 minutes. If polishing LIGHTLY - the battery will last up to 20 and 25 minutes.

I LOVE the cordless rotary, but I rarely use the cordless CBEAST. But I have my own reasons and the biggest reason I don't use the CBEAST is because most of the cars I personally detail, and most of the cars I bring in for our classes are in REALLY BAD CONDITION. Thus, I like the corded BEAST or the corded Supa BEAST, and I simply deal with the extension cord.

I much prefer to go faster than go slower.

And keep in mind, with a cordless rotary, the battery/motor only had to spin a buffing pad in a single direction. With a gear-driven orbital, the battery/motor had to spin the pad in two directions, rotation and oscillation. This extra power demand drains the battery faster.

And as far as the 15mm free spinning, random orbital polisher, aka the FINISHER, because it's NOT gear-driven, the buffing pad can simply stall out when buffing hard or buffing curved panels and there's less energy demand thus longer run-time.

I wish all the cars I work on were in like-new condition as then I would be cordless for every car.

Not sure if the above helps, but that's my take.

Thank you for the info! That is exactly what I needed to know! I totally agree with you, faster is better! Definitely going to look at the cordless rotary! Thanks again! Hopefully get to see you at SEMA in a few weeks!

I'll be demonstrating all three new FLEX corded and BRUSHLESS polishers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Stop by and test them out for yourself.

I was looking at the New Flex FX3311-2C Kit. Where does one get the extension 3" or 4" that was in that video? You also talked about using generic foam interface cushions but I didn't see any links in the bottom notes of that youtube video. I watched your video about restoring head lights 1hr 20mins and this looks like something I would like to get into. I've noticed tons of autos in my area that could use that.

You can source rotary polisher extensions on Amazon. Most any other type of store simply will not stock an item like this as they don't sell often in a local community.

Normally, any links would go to the Dr. Beasley's website, this increases sales to offset the cost of shooting these videos. Check out the Big River, they will have all kinds of interface sizes and options.

There are some people that carve out the headlight restoration niche as it's a common problem and there are a LOT of cars that could use the help.

Hope the above helps...

Mike
