Sono un appassionato del fai-da-te e di solito mi vengono affidati veicoli che richiedono una correzione in un solo passaggio.

Per questo lavoro ho utilizzato la mia Shinemate EX620 con un tampone Lake Country SDO Blue e una matita Scholl Concepts S20.

I’m a DIY enthusiast , and I’m usually entrusted with vehicles that require a single-step paint correction.

For this job, I used my Shinemate EX620 paired with a Lake Country SDO Blue pad and Scholl Concepts S20 polish.

Yes I would consider your results acceptable. Keep in mind how the vehicle looked BEFORE.

Whoever owns this either bought it NEW and then didn't take care of it - so it looks like crap.

OR

The person that owns it bought it used and whoever owned it before them didn't take good care of it and that's what they get for buying a used vehicle.

For situations like this - I always ask,

What's changed?

By this I mean, what's changed about the current owner that NOW that you've detailed their car NOW they are going to take care of it? In most cases, NOTHING has changed and this means the all your hard work is going to go to crap anyways. So don't shoot for perfection for jobs like this UNLESS - something has changed with the owner and NOW they are going to do a better job of taking care of your hard work.

As for the Renny Doyle DB8? I have not even removed it from the box yet, too busy. But here's the deal, a gear-driven orbital will always be faster than any free spinning tool like the 15mm tool you're using. Your spending a lot of time trying to avoid pad stalling and this simply wastes time.

The ONLY time a free spinning, random orbital polisher is BETTER than a gear-driven orbital polisher is when finishing out on anything SOFT.
