The Zen and art of washing a car by Mike Phillips

Mine is kind of both, Mike. The Ram is my DD, yes. But it is also my "pride & joy" so to speak. I built it in the showroom with the salesman, waited 6 weeks to get it, and I'm still in love with it as much as the day it came off the hauler. Kind of a "tweener" if you will.......... :)

The Zen and art of washing a car by Mike Phillips

I think you nailed this, John. Some weeks I am thinking: "I'm going to wash the truck". Other weeks, I am thinking: "I have to wash the truck??" It all depends on what I have planned, or what comes up that week. This week? I'm on vacation, and I couldn't be happier washing, polishing, and...

Where does everyone buy their supplies?

AutoGeek, McKee's, and Griots Garage. But since this forum is free of being tied down by brand affiliation, I will say that Amazon is always an option if I need something quickly. My last AutoGeek order took 9 days to arrive from Stuart, FL to L.I., NY. Great store/people/website, but in...

Debating "real" coatings VS high end sealants on a Camaro Forum

Mike, I would never presume to "put words in your mouth", but I think it must be refreshing for you to speak 100% candidly about detailing products with no ties to brand, type, or manufacturer. Just an honest take on a lifetime of experience.

    Mothers Powerball Mini

I have some LC Flat White pads. I never need to go "nuts", as I have always babied my wheels, but once in a while, I like to hit them with a machine using an AIO, or fine polish.

    Mothers Powerball Mini

Thanks, Jake. I have a very specific task in mind for it. The (5) small curves on each of my chrome wheels that are a real pain in the a$$ to polish with just one finger and an applicator pad. The rest of the entire wheel surface, I can use a 3" pad to get at it one way or the other.
