Understood, I do not consider the Flex a cheap rotary. Comment was pointed more to the SPTA brand specifically. Likewise, I could compare it to a cellphone when you get the phone new, the battery lasts 3 days and 2 years later it lasts 3 hours.

I worry about the longevity of the rechargeable battery. For lack of better terms, when it comes to relatively cheap rotary polishers, I’d prefer corded. Thoughts??

I purchased the SPTA mini, but corded. Very happy with it considering the price point. Foam pads are what you’d expect for the price and like having the 1” 2” and 3” options. I use it for tight places and especially polishing bare aluminum wheels.

Not to mention they are generally plastic which I’ve found MUCH different to rotary polish than metal…

Black is the most difficult color in my opinion. Easier to get a scratches and swirls, and harder to get them out!

With SUVs tend to come children, which add more elements than I’d like to the task sometimes…

Making mistakes on a demo hood is a hell of a lot less tolling than making a mistake on a customer hood! Therefore, I don’t disagree with your tactic!!

I bet you’ve got something that will bring that canvas back to life as well… Will gorilla tape leave its own residue when you peel it off?? I use plain blue 3m painters tape but that may not stick to canvas…

I just cut and buffed whole vehicle with 105 and wool on rotary followed by 205 with green foam on rotary with great results. This was after wet sanding 1000, 2000 and 3000 by hand with a 3” relatively hard block. Give the stuff a shake and run it.

Looks like you removed the window and it’s open to the outdoors!
