    Old Menzerna polishes

Lol, a few years back it was a running joke about trying to keep up with their changes in product names. Guys even made charts to show what corresponded to what in the past. I can't answer your question with an assured accuracy. But I would say it's probably comparable to 3500 or 3800 (And yes...

    Paint depth gauge recommendations

I saw a video a short while back where Justin Rose (Used to be with Meguiars. Now,... not sure who he works for) rec'd Extech CG 204 as a paint thickness gauge. I don't remember the details of why.

Types of Convertable Tops and Their Proper Names With Descriptions?

Like Mike said, I would give Shout a try. I've had good luck using Shout Advanced as a precleaner followed by a mild drenching and brushing of regular shout 15-30 minutes later (but, before the precleaner dries.) I've also had luck removing stains on microfiber by adding d-limonene to a cleaner...

Stop waterless wash spray going on other panels

Okay, I should have read your post a little closer. If I was not going to clean a panel. But. was going to clean up to it. And, I was going to spray the panel to be cleaned. I would start with a sprayer that has reasonably consistent spray pattern (I would use a Solo sprayer). Start spraying...

Stop waterless wash spray going on other panels

I usually wash 1/3 or 1/2 into the next panel; dry the panel I'm on; finish washing the next panel (again going 1/3+ beyond). This keeps a wet edge and leaves a buffer zone to prevent rework. I also always work with a blower. So, if water gets on a dirty panel I don't want to clean yet, I blow...

Peach Margarita - Suffering in sunny South Florida

Best kitchen gadget I've bought in while is a Little Snowie Max. It makes shaved ice out of ice cubes (Not quite the level of a commercial shaved ice machine - but, close.). A definite upgrade over the chopped ice of a blender.

    SUV World Takeover

`I very much get this. Unless it was a special interest car, I would never pick a car over an SUV. And if there was more selection, I would probably chose a van (That one could stand up in) over a SUV. But, that's my personal choice.

Question About Prepping & Ceramic Coating Travel trailer

Okay detailers, time to place your bets before the two cents are posted. I'm going with hit it with a one step cleaner sealant and apply a longer term wipe-on sealant every 3-6 months. That's a lot of surface to put a coating on.

    Categorizing microfiber rowels

I think one of the most important things to learn early is keep your contaminated towels (spray waxes, detailers, car soaps with wax in them - even towels you use to dry those, interior detailers and protectants, anything that gets grease, oil or road film on it)) away from your drying towels...

    Wheel Coating or Protection

Anaheim. I sort of fell out of baseball and football - just hockey now.

    Wheel Coating or Protection

Exactly. Which is why I love the spray on/ blast off products. Best bang for the time spent.

    Menzerna

I have some Menzerna that is probably 20 years old and is still good. That being said, I would go with the Griots boss polishes instead. Menzerna is quality, but the Boss seem to be foolproof at getting a great finish. Check out the Car pictures Scott (Sizzle Chest) just posted on Autogeek

Detailing Question? Feel free to ask them here.

You should just delete this thread. Otherwise, Someday there may be 100 pages with 100 of your posts stating 'This is not the place to put that.' Just saying.

What are some of your other interests besides detailing?

Best vacation I ever had was a week on the Pacific Coast Bike Trail. Still probably the most toured bike route in the country. Part of the Pan Am bike trail that runs from somewhere up in Alaska to the tip of South America. You meet people that come from all over the world to ride it. I need to...
