It gets better.............

Uh oh…

Many moons ago I worked at a dealership that was part of a small group owned by the same company, one of which was a Honda dealership. I was coming back from lunch and saw an S2000 abandoned on a street behind the shops that had spun around and destroyed the RR suspension. Later that afternoon we found out the mechanic working on it had taken it to lunch and tried drifting it around the corner and lost control.

And that’s why i started learning to work on my own cars. Still have a loooong way to go, but I try to avoid dealerships at all costs.

Oh, perfect. I’ll teach you how to work on cars if you teach me detailing. Deal?

I have very mixed feelings whenever I hear someone trashing dealerships. On one hand, I totally get it. Even in my n=1 experience I’ve seen some pretty dumb things. But I’ve also worked with some very very intelligent guys.

Deal! And your 100% right that there are very intelligent guys working in dealerships.

Just unfortunate that a few bad apples can ruin it for the good ones.

Hi this is Mr Thompson. What time will my car be ready today?
