Frog Camp
This Pro Line sat for over a year with a tarp over it and during that time a colony of Frogs made the boat their home.

Not good...

This was a 21' Sea Hunt that the owner tried to hand sand using #600 grit sand paper and then buff out. He not only didn't remove the sanding marks he left the boat filled with holograms. My class fixed it better than new.

Sorry to say I never got to putting up the after shots as making pictures magically show up on a forum takes a little time. But in these two Certificate Award Ceremony pictures you can see the results.

September 2014 - 1960 Glastron Fireflight

This was a very special project we did for the TV show Ship Shape TV with John Greviskis. This is one of his personal boats that he was restoring. He separated the top cap from the hull, did any repair work and then re-gelcoated both components. My class took over after the gelcoat cured using a multiple-step sanding process that included,

1. Block sanding with #600 through #2000 grit.
2. Machine sanding with #2000 through #3000 grit.
3. Machine compounding and polishing followed by machine waxing.

'This is the LAST class I showed ONLY using a rotary buffer to remove deep oxidation.

After this class I switched over and I believe I started the trend in the industry to machine sand gelcoat using the Mirka Abralon Sanding Discs. If you can find documentation for ANY boat class anywhere showing Mirka Abralon being used to machine sand gelcoat - please share it with the rest of us.
