BF AIO vs 3D Speed

It's not only as good - it's better. This is just my expereince and I've used a LOT of AIO's in my life.

And 3D ACA 505 is SPEED on STEROIDS.

The BEST opinion is the one you form yourself from real-world experience. To help people see the best values, I'm slowly creating coded links with cost-per-ounce figures. For any other brand of AIO you can do the same, simply use this formula.

Price divided by number of ounces = cost per ounce

Of course the abrasive technology is actually more important than price. I've seen how 3D abrasive technology is made in person.

3D SPEED

3D SPEED - 8 ounce - $17.99
- $2.25 per ounce

3D SPEED - 16 ounce - $24.99 - $1.56 per ounce

3D SPEED - 32 ounce - $39.99 - $1.25 per ounce

3D 505 Correction Glaze

3D AAT 505 Correction Glaze - 8 ounces - $21.99
- $2.75 per ounce

3D AAT 505 Correction Glaze - 32 ounces - $49.99 - $1.56 per ounce

Is 505 a lot more aggressive then Speed? Is the durability longer?

Yes. 505 formulated for use in body shops to restore neglected paint surrounding new paint so the car has a uniform appearance after repair.

Here's the deal on durability - all brands of AIOs offer around 3 months of protection if the is a daily driver always exposed to the outside world.

For a garage queen - an AIO could last 20 years.

How long ANYTHING lasts always comes down to how the paint is touched.

After reading other's reviews on different AIO's I always figure between 1-2 months for a DD outside. But I didn't know if 3D Speed had a little extra boost to it? I wish I could a garage queen. A 1955 T-Bird would about do the trick. 😀

Understand that. If say someone uses one then runs thru the " Tunnel of Terror" very week or every other, those chemicals that the wash racks use will destroy it. Or if someone washed it every time with dawn.

Hope you have a great upcoming New Year.....

The Montan Wax is used in 3D products because it's better able to withstand heat and chemical attack compared to other waxes.

How long anything lasts always comes down to how the surface it physically touched after final wipe-off of the product.

Exactly. Years ago I took pictures of the linear or straight line scratches in the hood of a black rental car. Then converted the picture to better show the scratches. Point being - if the brushes used in automatic car washes are doing such a great job of scratching the paint they're taking whatever is on the paint off the paint.

The straight line scratches you see in all 3 pictures are from the spinning brush inside an automatic car wash. If the bristles will put straight line scratches into urethane paint - it's a given the same bristles will remove any LSP including ceramic coatings, waxes and sealants.

Hoping and expecting 2022 to be the best year ever.
