Dr. Beasley's Plastic Conditioner and Plastic Sealant
I was recently asked about these two products. It took me a little time to type and format the text, plus insert links and videos. In order to leverage this time for the benefit of others, here's the info.
I think the Dr. Beasley's Plastic Conditioner and Plastic Sealant, are for exterior plastic trim, like the pebble textured plastic common on new cars. For the inside, it's not the HARD plastic surfaces, like Piano Plastic surfaces, etc. it's for things like the dash, door panels, any other non-clear plastic surfaces. In the old days, cars used a lot of vinyl, now days, cars use a lot of plastic.
Here's two recent videos on working with clear plastics. After polishing with the Dr. Beasley's NSP Primers, I find the Dr. Beasley's Paint Coating Builder to do a great job of maximizing clarity. In the past, this product was only available in our ceramic coatings kits, but now it's available as a standalone product.
Gloss Builder
Here's the videos,
Hope that helps and apologies for the delay, I'm really good at answering questions posted to the PUBLIC side of the forum, I'm horrible at checking messages.
Plastic Sealant
Plastic Sealant protects moldings, trim, bumpers, door handles, and mirror housings from UV fading and cracking while nourishing and moisturizing to restore color and feel. If your car spends a lot of time in the sun, you’ll want to grab a tube today!
Keeps Trim From Losing Color
By shielding trim from the sun’s UV rays, Plastic Sealant helps prevent rubber and plastic trim from losing their vibrant color, preserving the original factory appearance.
Stops Trim From Cracking
Using proprietary UV inhibitors, Plastic Sealant helps window and door trim resist cracking and other material degradation so outside environmental hazards can’t get inside.
Moisturizes Plastic and Rubber
Plastic Sealant reintroduces moisture and nutrients lost to UV sun damage, turning dry, crusty plastic and rubber supple and firm.
Easy to Apply
Plastic Sealant is DIY-friendly! Just spread evenly with an applicator, let sit, then wipe away the excess.
Adjustable Shine
Prefer a matte look? Just keep wiping until you’ve got the finish you’re looking for!
Convenient Squeeze Tube
Plastic Sealant’s 8 oz tube makes getting product on your applicator a no-mess endeavor. Just squeeze and apply!
How Does It Work?
When applied to a clean, dry exterior plastic or rubber surface, Plastic Sealant penetrates to nourish and moisturize. After a few moments, it forms a UV-inhibiting hydrophobic barrier that stops the sun’s rays from reacting with the surface while lowering surface energy to repel liquids.
