How to edge a panel via dry sanding using the 3D Dry Sanding System!

In this video, Mike Phillips shows you how to *edge a panel* using the 3D Dry Sanding System. Edging a panel is where you do all the sanding next to edges or raised body lines using smaller sanding discus on smaller orbital sanders to knock down any orange peel, dieback, shrinkage, graininess or other surface textures.

Precision Sanding
Smaller sanding discs and smaller sanders enable you to do PRECISION SANDING because they are easier to control and guide over the panel. By using smaller sanding discs you avoid accidentally sanding on top of an edge or raised body line that simply requires more time, focus and experience to do with larger 5" and 6" sanding discs and sanders.

After you *_edge a panel_* you can then switch over to a larger sander to knock out the middle section of the panel. Because the difficult areas are already sanded, this technique enables you to knock out the larger sections faster and easier as you no longer have to worry about being PRECISE with the sander to avoid sanding on top of edges and/or raised body lines.
