Hello Everyone,
I've researched this quite a bit on a couple of different forums as well as read MP Miscible and Immiscible thread on AGO.
My goal/end game is to have the cars finish pop like mad but also give me good protection to the base paint finish and give me a 3-4 months of good protection.
I'll be giving the Black Acura TLX a facelift in the coming weeks and applying DoDo Juice Black Widow as the last step and/or possibly throwing a coat of DoDo Juice Blue Velvet Pro as the final coat....just don't know yet.
My process will be Clay then polish with Pinnacle Polish of BF One Step using LC White Pads, I've already chemically decontaminated the car last weekend with BF Iron Remover.
Saying all of that, I do like the "protection" that a Sealant such as WGDGPS offers not to mention it's gloss and durability that it provides....or 303 Graphene but I think I've read something somewhere that layering 303 was not recommended...might've been on AGO or Detailing World.
You may ask, "why not just use the Black Widow by itself" which is a valid question and something I ask myself daily as I draw closer to starting the work. My answer is, I can't find enough information/answers on the Black Widow's durability and protection against something like water spotting and other things. I'm somewhat of a pessimist when it comes to real world durability claims since we do not live with perfect conditions not to mention it's hot and humid in Houston and the car is a daily driver, and I drive a lot too!
Another question I ask myself is "why did you buy it"? Answer would be....looks cool and the DoDo Juice products I've used in the past are top notch to me. Also, I've applied Blue Velvet (non-pro) by hand since it's a hard wax to my car over the last couple of months...and it's quite enjoyable..."becoming one with your car"....ok that sounds weird but you get the point!
In regards to self-cleaning, I know I wont have excellent self-cleaning since I've seen how Blue Velvet self cleans which really was not bad at all, I was actually quite impressed to be honest but it wasn't as good WGDGPS, PNS, or 303 Graphene.
Any input would be greatly appreciated...so I can stop racking my brain on what to do or at least slow it down a bit !
