In this LIVE online detailing class, we're going to take a deep dive into PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE aka PMs. This includes tips, techniques and the right products and tools to use when working on brand new leather.
The mistake most people make
When it comes to a brand-new car, be it a Corvette or a Camry, most people don't do ANYTHING because in their mind - because the car is brand new it doesn't need anything. This is correct, brand-new leather, or brand-new plastic, or brand-new paint doesn't NEED anything. But the best time to take care of a surface or material is while it's still new and in good condition. This is called preventative maintenance or common sense.
How about this paradigm shift in thinking?
When a surface or material is brand new - START right there and then to take care of it. Instead of letting time go by to the point that there is now VISIBLE damage from wear-n-tear, don't be that person. Don't try to recover damaged from neglect, do something. Use something!
Like my long-time friend Barry Meguiar used to say,
Frequent car care is easy car care!
And he's absolutely correct. Stay ahead of future problems, instead of being re-active, be pro-active. This approach, this mindset will save you time, money, energy and preserve your car's appearance and value. Plus, there's nothing like getting into and driving a clean, well-dressed car.
