Removing Black Streaks From White Cargo Trailer Then Protecting Paint

My apologies for my really late reply.

I have a Griots Garage 6" DA Polisher that is about 10-15 years old. It may have been the second generation of that machine. I have installed a appx. 5" backing plate from that era and have 5" lake country flat pads in multiple colors(orange, white, black and blue).
All of my polishes are probably old enough now they need replacing. I used to use Meguiar's M105 and M205.

Thank you.

That polisher and pads will work fine. That older Griot's Garage DA is actually a pretty good polisher.

The LC pads are,
  • Orange - Light cutting
  • White - Polishing
  • Black - Finishing
  • Blue - Machine waxing or super soft paints - I think it's a little softer than the black pad but not by much.

I would test the white pad first, always use/test the least aggressive products to dial-in your process.

As for the Meguiar's products, shake them like a mad man. If they pour out with a uniform looking consistency, then they're probably okay to use.
