I’m in the market to try a new tire shine.

What’s your guys favorite tire shine? I’ve been using optimum tire, don’t really have anything bad to say about.

Just want to try something new.

I've been using Jescar Tire and Trim. So far, it's lasted one week and one rainstorm.

I haven't been impressed with any tire dressings for years.

I have an order in for the 2 Dr. Beasley's products available.

Tire Conditioner

A deep penetrating, revitalizing cleaner for tires, Dr. Beasley’s Tire Conditioner reintroduces nutrients and moisture to your tires’ surfaces to restore color and rehydrate. Formulated with UV inhibitors, it protects your tires from future sun damage as well. With a shine you can adjust to your liking, Tire Conditioner is the ultimate way to keep your tires fresh. Get a tube today and treat your rubber to the best.

  • Restores moisture, nutrients and color
  • Helps tires resist UV damage
  • No-sling formula for zero waste

Matte Tire Conditioner

Matte Tire Conditioner is formulated to restore faded tires and protect from future UV damage without damaging nearby matte surfaces. Get your tires back to black and pick up a bottle today!
  • Won’t alter appearance of matte paint
  • Restores tire color
  • Prevents cracking, fading, discoloration, and UV damage

I posted this recently on my channel.

In your opinion, do the Armour Detail and Revox have a more satin finish than the Jescar?

I have the Jescar on there now and it's a bit too shiny for my taste.

Thanks.

Been using the Tire Conditioner for a couple of years. I like it. Not too shiny...........

I haven’t really been happy with any tire dressing lately. The old Blackfire (prior to PBMG purchasing Blackfire was my favorite. It was a solvent based gel that lasted months. It turned tires jet black without a ghetto shine. Wipe on, wipe off 10 min later and it was perfect looking with zero sling.

When PBMG bought BF, Nick was still at AG and sold me the last 9 gallons of it dirt cheap. I’m out since last year unfortunately.

So my personal hint continues….

I have probably 10 different tire dressings in my cabinet. None are really the be all end all, but there are two that I probably reach for more than the others.

1. Gyeon Tire
A little goes a long way with this one. Durability is very good and the look is uniform and not streaky. If you use a heat gun to heat up the rubber prior to application it improves the performance (this could certainly be true of ANY dressing though). Decent value as the bottle lasts a long time.

2. Fireball Tire (Satin)
Solvent based and also durable. Difficult to clean out of your applicator though. There is also a tire booster additive product that will improve durability further. Pricey and not practical for a detailing business but fits the enthusiast category if you’re willing to pay up for products. There is a more glossy version also but personally I prefer the satin look.

A more cost effective option that I use on my Riviera show cars (with whitewall tires) is Poorboys Bold N Bright Tire Dressing. This one does some cleaning in addition to dressing the tires with a more matte new tire finish. I always clean my tires as well as possible before applying a dressing, but the added cleaning ability of Bold N Bright really helps whitewalls and white letter tires look their best. Not as durable as the dressings with SiO2 in the formula though.

I used Jescar Tire and Trim. It's supposed to have a "Satin" finish. I find it a bit too glossy for me.

My go-to has been Nextzett Vinyl Rubber Extra. I love the looks, but it doesn't last.

Wow! Lots of good opinions and shared experiences here - thanks everyone.

I have a set of large tires coming up to clean and dress. We get into our new shop next week, so stay tuned.

Looking forward to your thoughts and seeing the new shop.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Being pretty new to detailing, I’m just trying to find something cost effective, easy to apply and that will last a few weeks for my customers without having to buy a bunch of different ones and trying them myself.

Options are endless on dressings.

You talking about Gyeon Tire express?

Surprised you are seeing Jescar being shiny. It is pretty matte / satin in my usage. Armour and Revox are on the satin side with one layer. Revox will last longer between the two.

The Jescar has more sheen on my Conti DWS than on my wife's car with the Pirellis. Must be the tires.
